Another step you can take to make responsible choices in your life is to choose happiness. Happiness is not something that will come along and overtake you. It is something you learn to be, regardless of the circumstances. Knowing you can choose to be happy regardless is huge.
A lot of people waste their days away, waiting for that proverbial happiness to find them. Don’t do that. The reality is that it was their choice all along. Choose to be happy where you are right now.
Wake up each morning with the intention of seeing the day with an optimistic attitude. Other people will be attracted to your optimism and smiles. As you make these conscious choices to be happy regardless of what is going on around you, you will find you have favor with others.
Strike up conversations with your professors and upper classmen for advice on improving your time at school. Most are nice and are willing to help if you just ask. Your college years will fly by, so make the most of it. Make them happy years.
Remember… Your happy life is an inside job,

I agree with this post. Happiness is a choice. Trying to be optimistic is a good starting point for happiness.
It takes some of us longer than others to understand that we have control of our choices.
Don’t try to be optimistic … just do it!
Thanks for sharing.
Have a happy day.
