From the moment he was born, Jason was told he could achieve anything. His parents were such good support in that regard. So how could it be that years later, Jason feels a total loss of control and a failure?
“OK, so here’s the deal” Jason said to himself. “I had so many wishes, hopes and dreams that I wanted to achieve, but so few of them have come true. It just leaves me feeling lost and just a little hopeless when it comes to getting somewhere not only in this semester, but in my life too!”
If you happen to feel a bit like Jason, there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s quite natural. In this day and age when there is so much “stuff” bombarding us, it’s difficult to even hear yourself breathe, never mind taking the steps to set out, take control and accomplish something for yourself!
Here’s what to do to get yourself back on track. It’s simple, it’s easy…all it takes is you making the commitment to do it until it’s done.
The 4-Step Process
1. Believe!
What’s the point of wanting to take control and achieve things in your life if you don’t believe that it’s possible to do so? So ask yourself this; “Can I get what I want? Is it possible? Do I believe that I have the power to make that happen?” If your answer is “yes,” you’re well on your way. Believing in the possibility of something means your halfway there. The door to letting that in is open.
If your answer happens to have been “no,” this may be the reason why things haven’t gone the way you’ve been wanting them to. Not believing in yourself and your abilities all but slams the door shut to anything happening of a positive nature in your life. You are more in control than you think!
2. Create It!
Formulate what you want to happen. State it loud and clear. See exactly what the end result will be. How does it feel? Remember that feeling and take it with you so it’s available any time you doubt yourself and your wish.
3. Repeat It!
Say to yourself and visualize what it is you want often each day. Especially before you go to sleep at night and as soon as you wake up each morning. Keep doing this till it happens!
4. Expect It!
Studies show that if you can see and feel the end result of what it is that you want, it will actually come to you much faster. Anytime doubts come up, acknowledge them and get back to seeing and feeling your end result. It’s like living life “as if” your end result is already happening here and now. Be thankful even though it’s not here yet and always remember that it will happen exactly when it’s meant to happen. Get out of the way of it coming to you and KNOW that it’s on its way. Don’t waste time wondering how, just expect it to occur.
That’s it! But now it’s up to you. The choice is yours. You can read this and forget about it two seconds after you’ve read this OR you can figure out how to put these simple four steps into action RIGHT NOW for you. No one can do this but you. Want to take control of your life and achieve anything? You have the power. It all starts with you…right?
